We are looking for a highly motivated Design Engineer with specialized experience in plastic product and mold design for new product development (NPD). The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in injection, compression, and blow molding processes along with strong CAD skills and manufacturing exposure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and development of plastic products from concept to production.
• Drive NPD projects, ensuring innovation, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability.
• Design and develop molds for injection, compression, and blow molding processes.
• Perform reverse engineering to improve existing designs or develop new variants.
• Create 3D CAD models and detailed manufacturing drawings using tools such as SolidWorks, Solid Edge, UG NX, CREO, and Inventor.
• Work across CAD modules including Solid Modeling, Sheet Metal, Assembly, Surfacing, and Drafting.
• Apply GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and adhere to ANSI, ISO, and DFMEA standards.
• Collaborate with tooling teams and support tool and die making activities.
• Contribute to jig and fixture design for efficient manufacturing processes.
• Provide basic-level support in sheet metal and die casting design.
• Offer insights from shop floor experience to improve design and production alignment.

Required Skills & Attributes

• Proven expertise in plastic design and mold development.
• In-depth understanding of plastic molding processes and tooling.
• Solid background in manufacturing with shop floor experience.
• Strong reverse engineering capability.
• Practical knowledge of tool and die making.
• Exposure to sheet metal and die casting design is a plus.
• Familiarity with industrial design standards, DFMEA, GD&T, and tolerance analysis.
• Innovative, self-driven, and a strong team player with good problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and project collaboration skills.
