Position: Process Engineer

Main Responsibilities:
- Plan, supervise, and control Process Engineering activities across all project phases: Concept, Basic, FEED, Detail Engineering, Commissioning, and Handover of surface facilities to Operations.
- Develop equipment specifications, evaluate technical bids, review vendor drawings, and oversee factory acceptance testing for mechanical equipment.
- Prepare and create critical deliverables including Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Heat and Mass Balance Diagrams, P&IDs, valve lists, line lists, and datasheets for new construction or system modifications.
- Perform and review calculations and datasheet preparation for storage tanks, pressure vessels, separators, distillation columns, reactors, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, and other process equipment.
- Conduct system hydraulic calculations including pump selection, sizing, and application.
- Size pipes and valves, selecting appropriate materials and valve types based on system requirements.
- Select control valves and define control valve requirements and datasheets.
- Participate in 3D model reviews to ensure designs conform to process system requirements.
- Maintain communication with customers and vendors regarding process-related matters.
- Support continuous development and improvement of departmental standard work procedures and workflows.
- Flexibility to travel internationally (US or Europe) on a project basis.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering with 10+ years relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Preferred expertise in carbon capture, green hydrogen, refinery units, and cryogenic storage systems.
- Strong process design experience, especially with storage tanks and associated systems.
- Proficient in process simulation software such as Aspen HYSYS and AFT Fathom.
- Familiarity with international codes and standards including API, ASME B31.1, B31.2, B31.3, and ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes (Section I and VIII).
- Experience with safety and risk assessment methodologies such as HAZOP and SIL studies.
- Self-driven professional with strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex technical data effectively.
- Comfortable working independently as well as in multidisciplinary, multinational teams.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Proactive, meticulous, responsible, and adaptable to fast-paced work environments.
- Excellent interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
