We are seeking a highly skilled Piping Engineer with expertise in AVEVA E3D (Mandatory), SP3D, Autodesk Plant 3D, and AutoCAD for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, and EPC projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for piping design, modeling, and layout development while ensuring compliance with industry codes and project specifications. This role involves working on onshore and offshore facilities, modular skid packages, FPSO topside modules, and pipeline routing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop 3D piping models, layouts, and isometrics using AVEVA E3D (Mandatory), SP3D, Autodesk Plant 3D, and AutoCAD.
- Prepare Piping General Arrangement (GA) drawings, P&IDs, and MTOs (Material Take-Offs).
- Perform pipe routing and clash detection using AVEVA E3D and other 3D modeling tools.
- 3D modelling experience is mandatory
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Process, Mechanical, Structural, Electrical) to ensure seamless design integration.
- Support stress analysis teams by providing piping layouts and critical line identification.
- Ensure compliance with International Standards, and project-specific piping standards.
- Develop support drawings, pipe racks, and equipment connectivity layouts.
- Participate in 3D model reviews, constructability assessments, and client presentations.
- Support as-built documentation and revise drawings based on site modifications.
- Coordinate with vendors for pipe fittings, valves, and specialty components.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and engineering best practices in piping design.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Piping Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in piping design for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical, or Industrial projects.
- Expertise in AVEVA E3D (Mandatory) along with SP3D, Autodesk Plant 3D, and AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of piping codes, International standards, and specifications.
- Knowledge of modular skid design, FPSO topsides, and piping layouts for offshore and onshore facilities.
- Experience in pipe routing, nozzle orientations, and equipment connectivity.
- Familiarity with stress analysis reports, pipe supports, and hanger selections.
- Ability to interpret PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment layouts.
- Experience with laser scanning and point cloud data integration is a plus.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications (Plus Points):
- Experience in EPC/EPCM projects related to refineries, petrochemicals, and offshore structures.
- Exposure to Navisworks, Bentley OpenPlant, and Caesar II for stress analysis coordination.
- Understanding of digital twin integration and Industry 4.0 applications in piping design.
- Certification in AVEVA E3D, SP3D, or Autodesk Plant 3D is a plus.
