Position: Jr. Engineer – Plant Controls (SCADA) Design
Experience: 5 - 6 Years
Location: Thane / Pune

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the design, development, and implementation of SCADA systems for plant automation and control.
- Configure and customize SCADA solutions including alarm systems, data acquisition, and real-time monitoring tools.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to define and develop control system requirements.
- Assist in the selection, integration, and commissioning of PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA software platforms.
- Prepare I/O lists, network architectures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Generate and manage documentation such as Bills of Materials (BOMs), design deliverables, and equipment specifications.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for quotations, technical discussions, and solution evaluations.
- Participate in review meetings and provide technical support across various project stages.
- Ensure system performance, reliability, and compliance with relevant electrical and process industry standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues in coordination with stakeholders.
- Work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments and manage multiple project deliverables simultaneously.
Technical Competencies:
- Strong understanding of SCADA system design and architecture.
- Hands-on experience with SCADA platforms such as:
- AVEVA System Platform / InTouch
- Ignition SCADA (Perspective & Vision)
- FactoryTalk View ME/SE
- Plant SCADA (Citect)
- Basic knowledge of AVEVA Historian and Plant SCADA connectors.
- Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens TIA Portal, Allen-Bradley, etc.).
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols: Profinet, Modbus TCP/IP, OPC UA, Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, Serial.
- Basic understanding of process automation for Oil & Gas, Food, and Pharma industries.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, switchgear, and adherence to relevant codes/standards (IEC, IEEE, IS).
- Good documentation and technical writing skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
