Design Engineer – Hydraulics

Position: Design Engineer - Hydraulics

Experience: 6 to 8 years.

Qualifications: B.E. / B. Tech – Mechanical

Location: UK (Long Term)

Must to have skills: – Mobile Hydraulics/ Structural Design/ Concept Design /Off highway Vehicles

Knowledge & Experience:

• Detailed knowledge of a wide range of mechanical engineering systems
• Knowledge of Waste collection Trucks, Yellow Goods, or related products, with low volumes and
  high complexity
• Working knowledge of hydraulics.
• Component design and development from concept to production drawing release
• Designing for assembly and for manufacturing processes including welded fabrication
• DVP&R (Design validation plan & report) generation
• Understanding geometric tolerances in mechanical components
• Understanding of quality processes
• Demonstrates the ability to optimise quality/cost/timing.
• Experience of engineering change control documentation
• 6-8 years relevant industry experience
• Working with customers to develop & improve products.
• Working with suppliers to develop & improve products.

Education, Training or Qualifications: –

• Min qualification Degree in Mechanical Engineering or the ability to demonstrate the same level
  of competence through a combination of other relevant qualifications, training, and experience.
• Minimum 6 to 8 years’ experience in Engineering in a relevant industry

Skills and Abilities: –

• Ability to communicate (verbally & written) at all levels in the business.
• Excellent CAD modelling and drawing creation skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Contribute to DFMEA
• Attention to detail and completer / finisher.
• Ability to managing personal workload and timescales against tight project objectives on
  multiple activities.
• Ability to act on own initiative whilst maintaining the expected deliverables.
