Position: Senior Electrical Engineer (Plant)

Experience: 6 - 12 years

Qualifications: BE/ME Electrical or Instrumentation

Domain: FMCG, Chemical, Pharmaceutical & Oil & Gas

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop complete electrical design packages from conceptual stage to As Built including Load lists, SLDs, Protection system, Cable schedules, Earthing and lighting layouts.
  • Subject Matter Expert in Electrical, Instrumentation and Control for plant engineering.
  • Design and review MV & LV systems, PCC, MCCs, VFD panels, UPS and plant-wide power distribution
  • Perform and validate electrical load calculations, cable sizing, short-circuit, voltage drop and coordination studies
  • Design and review electrical heat tracing systems for process piping, tanks and equipment
  • Prepare and review technical specifications, datasheets, BOQs and material requisitions
  • Review and approve vendor drawings, calculations and technical documents
  • Lead selection and design of field instruments (Control Valve, Temperature, Pressure, Flow, Level & sensor like photocell, proximity)
  • Prepare and review instrument datasheets, I/O lists, loop diagrams, hook-up drawings, cable schedules and JB layouts
  • Design and oversee PLC / DCS / SCADA based automation systems
  • Integrate and review industrial communication protocols (Ethernet, Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, etc.)
  • Interface with process, mechanical, civil, automation and commissioning teams
  • Participate and provide inputs in FAT, SAT and design review meetings
  • Ensure designs comply with NEC, ANSI, IEC and local statutory requirements
  • Support procurement, construction, installation, testing and commissioning activities
  • QMS process
