Currently we are looking to expand our team and looking for this resource urgently. W2 / Corp-corp /1099 / (H1 transferable acceptable).

Position: Instrumentation Engineer

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Duration: 12- 18 months contrac

Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing engineering documents including piping & instrumentation diagrams with process team, instrument index sheets, instrument data sheets, review of junction box layouts, instrument loop diagrams, hook-up drawings etc.
  • Developing data sheet for process instrumentation including pressure, temperature, flow and level instruments, control & shutdown valves and Analyzers.
  • Engineering: Preparation of Instrument location layout, Cause and effect, Alarm andset point list, cable schedules, hook-up drawings, I.O.List, Instrument/Electrical cable list with glands procurement.
  • Review and Preparation of of engineering deliverables like P & ID’s, instrumentation index, cable schedule, JB Schedule, Hook- ups drawings, I/O list, Alarm & Trip Schedule, Instrument Location & Junction box layout, Electrical Drawings, Equipment Layout, Fabrication & Installation Drawings etc.
  • Provide input to designers and review detailed engineering documents, i.e., Instrument cable block diagram, Cable termination drawing, JB wiring drawing, Instrument location and layout, Instrument air details, Instrument impulse line drawing, Electrical block diagram, Electrical wiring drawing, etc. and mark applicable comments.
  • Review control logic, interlocks.
  • Review instrument BOQ and prepare MR sheet.

 

Other Activities:

  • Project Management: Planning, Execution, Scheduling & Resource management.
  • Procurement Engineering: Preparation of request for quotation (RFQ), technical bid analysis (TBA) and technical query (TQ).
  • Execution of project within budgeted cost as per company procedure, QA policy & legal requirement if applicable.
  • Support to purchase to finalize vendor for project materials.
  • Support marketing and proposals for preparation of offer.
  • Site Erection and commissioning
  • SAT, FAT
  • MCC and PLC panel testing, Erection and commissioning
  • Attending HAZOP meeting
  • Site visit for electrical and Instrumentation work.
