We are looking Mechanical Equipment Engineer (Rotary) for a lead role to manage projects of varied scopes starting from feasibility study, basic engineering, detailed design, specifications preparations, review of detailed design documents and Vendors data, project monitoring, and management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Understanding of rotating equipment and process flows for oil, chemicals, water, gas, and air systems.
  • Clear understanding of ANSI / ASME / API and other pertinent engineering codes and standards.
  • Prepare Equipment Data Sheets including equipment sizing with identification of suitable specifications and equipment interfaces including but not limited to compressors, pumps, turbines, agitators etc. with governing controls, power supply, utility requirements, environmental regulatory requirements and other industrial stipulations and recommendations.
  • Understand basic requirements and Provide inputs for the preparation of plot plans, organize issuance of engineering drawings and technical documents for Inter-Discipline Checks (IDCs) and coordinate with other engineering disciplines for integration of data inputs.
  • Prepare Inquiry Requisitions; participate in the technical evaluation of bid offers. Prepare Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE), and review design calculations, fabrication drawings and other related documents.
  • Carry out FEED, Proposal and Detail Engineering of Rotary equipment (Pumps, Compressors, Fans, Blowers, Steam & Gas turbine etc.) and packages for Chemical, Petrochemical, Refinery, and other Process plants.
  • Selection / Review of rotating machinery in accordance with leading International / national codes, standards such as API, ASTM, ISO ANSI, and other codes related to various rotating equipment and packages.
  • Coordinate, and actively communicate with other disciplines including civil/structural, piping and electrical/ instrumentation to optimize areas of the interface during pre-bid and post-bid stages.
  • Preparation and review of mechanical data sheets, material requisition and specifications for rotating equipment/ packages
  • Troubleshooting includes vibration study and balancing of the machines for optimal performance and longevity of equipment, systems, and plant.
  • Guide team to create datasheets, technical specifications, technical requisitions, and technical bid evaluations for rotating equipment

Preferred Experiences

  • BE Mechanical with a minimum of 10 years of related experience preferably with Application from a background in working for EPC or consultancy organizations in the of the Oil and Gas Industry
  • Should be familiar with the latest advancements in the field of rotating equipment.
  • Familiar with the functional principles and the associated auxiliary systems of at least 3 of the following rotating machinery families: centrifugal compressor; reciprocating compressor; aero-derivative or industrial-type gas turbines; condensation or back-pressure steam turbines; electric machinery (MV motors and generators); mechanical drive with variable speed ratio; gas engines; other like a pump or turbo-expanders.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry international codes and standards such as ASME, API, NFPA, NACE, ANSI, ISO
  • Positive working attitude, willingness to learn, ability to cohesively work as a team and take up new skill sets.
  • Able to work independently & in Team.
