Position: Sourcing Manager

Experience: 14 to 18 Years

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

Location: Thane

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies for the US and EU territories to meet the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities, reliability, and quality standards.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain.
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement improvement plans as necessary.
  • Conduct regular supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with company standards and requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favourable terms and conditions.
  • Ensure all contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Develop and manage the sourcing budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives and strategies to optimize the supply chain.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, production, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of sourcing activities.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain to ensure continuity and reliability.
  • Develop contingency plans to address supply chain disruptions or emergencies.
  • Track and report key performance metrics related to sourcing activities, including cost savings, supplier performance, and delivery timelines.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on sourcing activities and achievements.

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Supply chain management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 – 9 years of experience in sourcing or supply chain management, preferably in the engineering services industry.
  • Global supply chain & logistics exposure will be plus.
  • Strong knowledge of the US and EU supply chain markets and regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective sourcing strategies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
