We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Electrical Design Engineer specializing in Medium Voltage (MV) systems to join our dynamic team in Bavdhan, Pune. The role requires deep technical expertise in electrical engineering design for large-scale industrial and Oil & Gas projects, along with the ability to lead and mentor junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and optimize MV system designs, including equipment specifications (e.g., transformers, switchgear, MCCs).
• Create and verify:
  • Load lists, feeder lists, cable sizing, CT/VT sizing, battery & UPS calculations
  • Relay settings, coordination studies, earthing sizing, tray loading, lighting system, bus duct and LV busbar sizing
• Design and layout:
  • Cable raceways, grounding/shielding systems, substations, transformer yards, hazardous zones
  • Indoor and outdoor lighting systems
• Prepare and review:
  • Technical specifications for transformers, MV switchgear, UPS, cables, control & protection systems
  • Single line diagrams (SLD), protection and metering SLDs, SCADA/SAS architectures, schematics
  • Equipment datasheets, bills of materials, I/O lists
• Conduct feasibility studies and finalize technical specifications
• Perform vendor offer reviews and develop technical evaluation reports
• Communicate and coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, vendors, and contractors
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team leadership

Technical Competencies

• Electrical design for MV and LV distribution systems
• Power system studies: short circuit, arc flash, relay coordination, harmonic analysis
• Substation package design, MVMCC, EMS, LV bus ducts, UPS, rectifiers
• Knowledge of hazardous area classification (Zone 1, Zone 2 / Div. 1, 2)
• SCADA, fire alarm systems, cathodic protection, grounding & lightning protection
• Cable and wiring design for 4.16kV systems
• Familiarity with fast-track, multidisciplinary EPC environments
• Solid understanding of hydrogen energy ecosystems (desirable)

Required Skills

• Proficiency with AVEVA Electrical (Mandatory)
• Strong command of AutoCAD, ETAP, PSCAD, SKM, Dialux, EasyPower, AGI32, and CompuTrace
• Working knowledge of electrical codes and standards: IEC, IEEE, IS
• High proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Ability to independently develop deliverables and handle multiple high-pressure projects
• Leadership mindset with the ability to mentor and manage junior team members

Preferred Experience

• Minimum 10 years in electrical design for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, or Process Plant industries
• Experience with MW-scale industrial projects and energy infrastructure
• Exposure to hydrogen technology and modern energy solutions
