Position: Design / Sr. Design Engineer – Millwork

Experience: 3 to 8 years

Location: Thane, Mumbai

Industry: Custom Millwork / Woodworking

Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related technical field

Qualifications & Required Skills:

• 3–5+ years of hands-on millwork/woodwork design experience
• Proficient in AutoCAD 2D for detailed millwork drawings
• Working knowledge of millwork-specific software such as Cabinet Vision or Microvellum (preferred)
• Sound understanding of woodworking materials, finishes, and joinery techniques commonly used in the USA/Europe
• Knowledge of hardware standards and application in cabinetry/millwork
• Strong ability to interpret and convert architectural plans into precise shop drawings
• Comfortable working in imperial and metric units
• Familiar with plan views, elevations, sections, and detail callouts
• Ability to create layouts in paper space and ensure drawing sets are clean, organized, and production-ready

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Create detailed technical drawings and shop drawings for custom millwork and cabinetry projects
• Review project inputs, architectural drawings, and specifications to develop accurate, buildable designs
• Collaborate with project managers, production teams, and clients to revise and finalize design solutions
• Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, hardware specifications, and client requirements
• Understand and apply correct material selections, edge details, and finishing techniques
• Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and design accuracy are met
• Coordinate with production and installation teams to resolve design queries or constraints
• Provide technical support during manufacturing or installation as required
• Maintain clear documentation and records of drawing revisions and approvals
• Exhibit a proactive and solution-oriented approach in a fast-paced, detail-driven work environment
